In this episode of Her EnterpRISE podcast you get to experience a mastermind. Part of living your unique life is also looking at the earning side of the equation. Doing work that brings you joy and feeds your family. If you aren’t working in a traditional job you need to go through the struggle of pricing your products. Melissa, Kelly and Nicole talk about that challenge exactly. Nicole’s challenge involves her newly published book.
What is a Mastermind?
A mastermind is a group of people who are striving to get to where you are going, or are already there. Where challenges are revealed openly, experiences are shared and feedback is given honestly.
For us that means we are women building business and living purposeful lives. With this lens we look to help each other conquer fears, brainstorm new possibilities and stay focused and accountable.
“To reach the top of the mountain, you need to surround yourself not only with those who have been there, but also those who want to go there.” Tony Robbins
We answer the following questions:
- What am I worth? Mindset on money and your value?
- What can you charge for your product so that its sustainable?
- How do you balance that with different or opposing values like keeping it accessible to communities in need?
Quick peek at what’s in the episode:
Sustainability is so important when it comes to launching a business.
Kelly shares a story:
A peanut farmer in Haiti is asked, “How can we help you?” His response is, “Stop sending peanut butter.” The peanut farmer can’t sustain a business with free.
When you insert yourself into the market you don’t want to compete on lowest price. That’s a race to the bottom where no one wins.
Instead we want to compete on value.
We also talk about dependability and how that reflects in cost. Along with evaluating your network to identify who this would be useful for.

From a buying perspective what are things you spend on where you aren’t looking for the lowest price? For me Ben & Jerry’s and Haagen- Dazs ice cream. I really like ice cream. Along with courses from people I trust. Have you sold anything before? How did you price your products? Share in the comments its always fun to see how others do it.
